Healthcare Resuscitation Training Programmes
Crystal Safety Services affiliated training site with the Irish Heart Foundation now offers the following provider courses within the Basic Life Support (BLS) programme for Healthcare Workers:

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, Bag-mask techniques, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
In the classroom, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.
Students work with an IHF BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam. Upon completion of this course, students receive an IHF/AHA CPR & AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years. This course takes approximately 4 ½ hours -
Option 2-Cardiac First Response (CFR) PractitionerThe CFR Practitioner course taught by the Irish Heart Foundation includes the BLS for Healthcare Provider Course (please see above) plus additional modules. These include the administration of aspirin, stroke assessment (FAST Assessment), critical incident stress awareness, Cardiac First Responder Report (CFRR) and legal indemnity issues. The CFR Practitioner Course takes approximately 7 hours to complete and you will receive an Irish Heart Foundation / Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) CFR Practitioner course completion cards in addition to a BLS for Healthcare Provider course completion card.This is a dually IHF/AHA and IHF/PHECC certified course.

Option 3-Heartsaver AEDHeartsaver CPR & AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. Optional modules in child CPR and AED use and infant CPR, including child and infant choking. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.
Upon completion of this course, students receive an IHF/AHA CPR & AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years. During the course, an IHF Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their CPR and AED skills practice and testing. This course takes approximately 3 hours.
